Kent State Tuscarawas lost a beloved friend and leader in Dr. Kamal Bichara, our longtime engineering technology director at the Tuscarawas campus. He passed away leaving a lasting impact on thousands of individuals.
You might have had him as a professor, advisor or even as an acquaintance over his long career at Kent State Tuscarawas. He will be greatly missed as he was a trailblazer in engineering technology here for nearly 40 years. His passion for the field of technology was unmatched and demonstrated in his career by gearing his students and classrooms with vast knowledge, the latest technology, and all the tools that he could provide to see them excel.
The campus has launched an effort to establish an endowed scholarship in his name to honor his dedication and commitment to engineering and our students. The academic scholarship, which will be known as the Dr. Kamal F. Bichara Memorial Endowed Scholarship, will support engineering technology students.
